traffic cone installation
For my third project in my second semester at KASK school of arts I had to make an animation outside of the cinema screen. I designed this traffic cone that could be placed in a variety of locations and look around. I made this introduction film to present the project. The cone is build with eva foam, plexiglass, servo motors, lasercut wood and a repurposed trash bin.
Later I brought the installation to the Bijloke campus where KASK is located. The interactions between the robot and people were very interesting. people frequently looked for a origin of the movements which was me a couple meters away with an rc remote to control the servo motors. others seemed to think that the installation was there on its own. perhaps because it looks like a traffic cone people are more accepting of this fitting in the enviroment. Also because it is low on the ground making it less noticable when your focused on something else.

The installation was later placed in an exhibition room for so I could present it to the jury. I added some lights around and inside the cone. Which was an idea I had earlier by leaving a part unpainted instead of white.
